This simple to use visual support focuses on editing a student's writing, by breaking down the task into more manageable chunks while providing structure and clarification. It supports a student to turn in their best possible paper. It’s an excellent resource for a student who experiences difficulty staying focused, rushes through their writing or is English as a Second Language learner. After the student has completed a piece of writing they use the four editing strategies: Capitalization, Organization, Punctuation, and Spelling (COPS) to edit their work. By teaching students to read through their writing four separate times, focusing only on one strategy at a time before handing it allows great potential for improving their writing. It is also a brilliant resource for a student to use when peer reviewing other students writing.
