MY FIRST INTERACTIVE MATH NOTEBOOK
is a fun, intentionally organized way to teach your Pre-K and Kindergarten students number sense, counting and basic math. It also will provide your students (and their parents) with a complete reference of the math they have learned--instead of gobs of worksheets to sift through and, ummm, recycle.
All your students will need is a notebook, or composition book, scissors, crayons, and glue.
You will want a pack of some fun Astrobrights Paper
to add a SPLASH of color and visual contrast to your students' notebooks.
Notebook activities included for each number 0-10:
** Correct number formation
** Dot the numeral
** I Can statements for each activity
** One More/One Less
** 2-D Drawing example and template (dot-to-dot)
** Number Sense (dice, dominoes, finger counting, tally marks, time to the hour, coins and number word)
** Writing Strips (with starter dots and reminder arrows)
** Ten Frame
** Color and Count
** Numeral Orientation
** Addition Strips (composing the number with picture tiles)
** Subtraction Strips (decomposing the number)
Your students will also build their own Counting Poster, adding each number they learn up to 10. This is a great tool for teaching them to read numbers from left-to-right, top-to-bottom.
The covers included in this pack are EDITABLE--you can type-in each students' name and print (viola!). I use KG Red Hands Font
, you can download and install it to use on the covers, or pick another font you like.
