Detailed study questions on Shakespeare's MacBeth. Created for advanced students (AP, IB, honors) with the primary purpose of promoting close reading of the text and interpretation of language use (as well as general understanding of the play). Would also work well for college students. Includes a list of symbols/motifs in the play.
Answer key not included. These questions aren't meant to be answered with rote responses and then graded; they are intended to be used as basis for classroom discussion.
Typically, my students' responses become the basis for analytical writing assignments later.
