After your students read Act One of William Shakespeare's Macbeth, have them do this intense and challenging lesson. Students will begin with silent reading time, then move to a warm-up activity that asks them to review the first act with comprehension questions, and then they will complete TWO different close-readings (one with a partner, and one individually).
The PowerPoint will move the students through each part of the lesson AND contains Common Core standards and essential questions.
All the worksheets are included in this resource! This will fill a 90-minute class period. Your students will be challenged, but this lesson is scaffolded appropriately.
AS A BONUS - this lesson comes with a Mindfulness activity in case you are interested in incorporating that time into your class.
