Macbeth Character Collages: An Interactive Digital Activity

MACBETH: This activity is designed to be used with Google Slides or Google Classroom. You will share the document with your students, a document that includes directions for the students for both the assignment and the use of Google Slides.

On the first few slides, the students will be asked to brainstorm ideas for images, words and phrases that capture the character of the major players in Macbeth. They will use these ideas to create a collage on the slides that are provided; then, they will search the Internet for images to use. (The directions instruct them to create a works cited page for any image they use). In the end, their collage should illustrate how well they understand the character and his/her development. You can have them do one for some or all of the characters; you can also ask them to do the collage based on one act or for the whole play.

All directions and assessment checklists are editable so you can modify them to suit your purposes.

NOTE: the images on the cover are for student inspiration only. The product includes the character images only; students are meant to come up with their own ideas.
