2 pages = Students write 1 to 2-sentence scene summaries. Helps keep understanding of story in check. Quick way for students to catch up on story by reading and reviewing past written summaries.
1 page = Visual character analysis of Macbeth's transition from good to bad through his thoughts and actions. Students write explanations.
1 page = Visual character analysis of Lady Macbeth seducing her husband to join the dark side through her thoughts and actions. Students write quotes and cite.
1 page = Students quote and cite lines supporting an example of: a) nature "behaves" when rightful king is on throne (like Duncan); b) nature "misbehaves" when wrong king is on throne (like Macbeth) since Divine Right is violated. Students also draw illustrations depicting the effects on nature.
1 page = Students record Macbeth's 2 sets of prophecies, and Banquo's prophecy as "Causes," and then write explanations of the "effects" of these prophecies in the story.
