This is a traditional multiple-choice exam for The Tragedy of Macbeth. The 55 total questions are divided into three categories:
(1) Identify the Character, (2) Fill in the Blank, and (3) Details.
The exam is heavily text-dependent. For the first two sections, students will need to be able to comprehend Shakespeare's language and understand the basic plot and characters within the play. The first section asks students to correctly identify the character speaking the line, while the second section requires students to choose the missing word from a famous or significant quote. The last section asks detail-oriented questions with an emphasis on proper nouns (including the names of characters, settings, and titles).
