I have made Macbeth ESL/ELL friendly! I am currently using these materials in my beginner/low intermediate Self - contained ESL class. The students I teach are primarily Arabic speaking, but these handouts can be used for learners from all backgrounds. I will continue to upload more handouts as they are created, but here you can find the first four scenes of Macbeth fully adapted for ELLs. I have been using these handouts in tandem with national geographic's graphic novel of Macbeth which supplements these items with great visuals. Expect for one or two worksheets these documents can be used with OR without the graphic novel. They will keep students on task and working independently for up to 40 minutes. These handouts are easily adaptable for group-work as well. There are over 21 more pages of handouts, with even more to come! Enjoy! (students should have a computer or word to word dictionary to translate the first few vocabulary words and then they will be off and running!
