Product Description

Combining review with a generous portion of Mac-fun will definitely prove a crowd pleaser. In groups of 4-7 players, students compete to win the most cards. In turn, they ask each other fact and quote questions (one on each card). A correct answer allows the student to keep that card. Sounds as if they most knowledgeable student will always win this worthy review game, doesn’t it? Perhaps they would if not for the Dare cards that requires students to perform drama activities, or complete a tiny writing task before the play circles round to them again. There are also cards that force them to miss a turn, give a card to someone else, or steal a card from another player. Macbeth steals a crown, so stealing a card is in the spirit of the play!

Play continues until all 96 cards have been won and then students count up their stacks.

What you get in the resource

Teacher instructions (not many are needed- the game is straightforward)

32 fact cards (8 to each sheet of 8 x 11) (1 PDF)

32 quote cards (8 to each sheet of 8 x 11) (1 PDF)

32 dare cards (8 to each sheet of 8 x 11) (1 PDF)

3 x 8 back of the cards design – these can be omitted and the back of the cards left blank (PDF)

Assembly of the game

The cards can be photocopied onto 8 x 11 ordinary paper. A color printer is not required. To save teacher time, the cards can be cut by the students, but they should be cut from the back of the card; seeing the questions in advance will give them an advantage. If you are sure you will teach the play again, it is worth photocopying the cards onto cardstock.

*Please note that the cards in this game are largely the same as in my Macbeth Never Bored Board Game.*
