This unit of work integrates dance, music, drama and the visual arts.
Machines can be a stimulus for visual and performing arts in several ways, including:
• the visual form of the machine
• the rhythmic patterns of movement and sound energy
• the force and power associated with machines; this may be small and intricate as found in a wristwatch, or large, complicated and awe inspiring such as the engines of a large ship or jet aircraft
• the machine as metaphor e.g. the human body.
