This single page chart helps students organize organic macromolecules - carbohydrates, proteins, lipids and nucleic acids.
It encourages them to list examples and is a helpful way to make comparisons within and across these four groups.
Teacher suggestion: I hand out the blank chart and then go through one group on the board with them, asking them to recall examples we have discussed in class and importance of each of these. Then I ask them to complete the rest of the chart. I encourage them to work together and most importantly, to give them another blank chart to do again. I suggest to them that if they can fill in the blank chart from memory then they will be able to recall the information easily come test time.
