I created Mad Geography many years ago for my 2nd grade class. I wanted my children to learn the Continents and Oceans of the world. Over the years I’ve added more and more tests including the United States, Canada, Africa, Europe, and South and Central America. I hope you find these tests helpful in your own classroom.
These Mad Geography Tests are configured in sets. In each set, Test A allows students to learn where each Province and Territory is located. The names are fully provided and students are only required to match the names to their correct location. Tests B-G then re-arranges the number identifiers on each test so mastery of location is assured, but it also removes 2-3 Province and Territory names each test so that students must generate them from memory. Test G is considered the blind test. Students are required to identify the location of all the Provinces and Territories as well as generate all the names and spellings themselves. Upon completion of Test G, students receive a certificate stating that they have learned all the Provinces and Territories of Canada.
