A collection of 6 assessments that are used to measure and strengthen integer use. Each assessment has 50 problems that are broken into 5 categories of 10 (multiply, divide, add, subtract, combining 3 terms). When given every 7-10 schools days, you assess growth and determine strengths and weaknesses based on the category score.
Along with each assessment comes a practice page of problems that focus on each discipline. If you spot a student who is scoring low in addition, give them the addition practice page to help boost that category score.
I teach 7th grade and allow 3 minutes per assessment. Alter the time based on ability or age. This is a great way to show growth over time for teacher evaluations, parent conferences, and most importantly, for the students to see their success. I used this assessment method during a research study while at the University of Texas and I included two pages of statistics to show how beneficial these assessments were in my classroom.
