These mad libs are a great gap filler exercise that always results in hilarity!
After a quick recap of parts of speech, students can choose from the upper beginner level story "What a Day!" or the lower intermediate story "First Date". Students fold their sheet of paper and write their own suggestions next to each number on the lower part of the sheet (eg. next to 1: Adjective they might write "funny"). Then they unfold the sheet and write the corresponding words into the numbered gaps.
You're guaranteed to end up with fun, silly stories that students helped write. Suitable for intermediate level students, or beginners with some support; can be done individually or in pairs. Entertains both children and adult learners!
