This fun game is a great way to motivate students to practice 2 digit addition (without regrouping) during Math center time.
Students take turns answering 2 digit addition problems. If they get it right they get to take a block and work on building their structure. If they draw a sling shot card instead of an addition problem they get to knock their opponents structure over.
I use this Math Center with my advanced 1st graders. By the end of the year my whole class is able to enjoy this center. My 2nd grade colleagues use it as a reteaching strategy during small group math time and math centers.
