This French Magic Potion recipe writing activity is an ideal assignment around Halloween or to accompany a Haunted House/sorcery unit, or even as a weird spin on a typical food unit. An answer key is provided for the worksheet portion of this unit.
This French as a second language writing task is designed to practice using the imperative verb form (l'impératif), but you could easily adapt it for younger grades by substituting the infinitive form instead. A list of useful verbs is included, as well as creepy and crawly animals, and potential body parts to use in the recipe.
I like to project the relevant pages while the students are working on them to best show the gruesome colours.
Saves time & more flexible!
