Fire Power Potion, Beetle Juice, and Tell the Truth Syrup—these are some of the fun magic potions my students created. Taking inspiration from the medieval apothecary, Harry Potter, and other fantasy stories, this project offers lots of creative possibilities! We create these paintings with permanent marker, watercolor (or tempera cakes), and optional liquid tempera paint. The children can really use their imaginations to dream up their own potions. Included are two handouts with 23 different bottles to spur their creativity.
This is also be a great project for Halloween!
Time Required: 90 minutes-2 hours
The 19-page project includes:

-About the Medieval Apothecary
-Potions in Harry Potter
-Detailed Photo Tutorial

-Reference Photos of the Medieval Apothecary Jars
