Magic e Worksheets
Magic e Centers: Each of the center games should be printed on cardstock and laminated to use yearly.. Directions for each game are on each center game. Note: You may use as many cards as you want for each game and some game boards may be printed back to back to save on cardstock.
Flower Magic e Word Games: Children place cards face down and take turns drawing a card. If student can read the word, they keep it, if they cannot they must put it back. If they draw a Sun or Cloud Card follow its directions They must read all their cards, the person who has the most cards wins.
Memory Game: Make two sets of the word cards and children place the cards face down in rows. They take turns turning two cards over to see if they have matched the same words. If it does they keep both cards, if not they turn the cards back over and the next child has a turn. The person who has the most matches wins the game.
Magic e Roll It! Read It! Magic e Words & Sentences: Two types of game cards with magic e words and magic e sentences. There are 5 game cards of each type. Students roll one dice and read the words or sentences in the row they have rolled.
Sunshine Magic E Match Games: Memory Game: Children place the cards face down in rows. They take turns turning two cards over. If the cards match, short vowel word with its magic e partner they keep the cards, if no match they put them back and the next child has a turn.
Match Game: Children can play with a partner or by self matching the short vowel word with its magic e partner.
Magic E Roll & Read It!: Children roll a dice. Read the words in that matching row adding the Magic e to each of the words as they read.
Kite Make a Magic e Word Game: Children take a cloud (consonant & consonant blends are provided) and put it in front of a word chunk kite to make a magic e word. Children can write word on paper or white board or use one of the worksheets to go with this activity.
Magic E 5 In a Row: Turn over all the word cards. Pick the cards out one at a time and read them. If you have that card on your game board you may place the card onto you board or put a marker on that square. If you get 5 words in a row you win the game. You may play this game in a group, with a partner or by yourself.
Magic e Worksheets: Each of the worksheets can be printed on regular copy paper for individual students.
Letter & Word Chunks Stamps: Use these stamps to make magic e words and to use with the other worksheets.
Make a Word Worksheets: Use these sheets to write out what words are made in center games or with other manipulatives such as reading rods or letter tiles. Sheets are divided by vowel sounds and whether they are real or nonsense words.
Adding Magic e Worksheet: Children can cut or write out words that match short vowel word with its word change when adding magic e (not : note; pan : pane; tap : tape).
Make a Word Fill-in Worksheets Use these sheets to write out what words that are made with letter tiles, reading rods or letter stamps. These sheets are separated by vowel sounds and single consonant and blend worksheets.
