This is a set of 2powerpoints I made to help my students learn that when a word ends with a vowel, consonant, silent e, the first vowel says its name. Each slide has a short vowel word, then the long vowel word is made by adding an "e". I have also included pictures for each word to aide in understanding and usage. This is a great way for student to practice the "sneaky e" rule. Wish I had thought of it sooner. There is also a printables package that includes 2 assessments (choosing correct word in a sentence and choosing the correct word to match pcture)and 2 sets of colorful cards for matching picture to word. These are great to use in a center.
I hope you enjoy these Power Points and printabes If you have any questions, please use the Q&;A tab up top :)
