For this worksheet, you should gather the materials listed on the sheet to give to your students. I suggest splitting them into groups of 5 or less. Give each group one of each item. Give the students a few minutes to make their guesses about each item and hold off on giving them a magnet for testing their guesses until they are finished. Once they finish guessing, they can test each item and write down what they found. Students are then given the opportunity to consider what all the magnetic items have in common.
