Product Description
Step into 21st Century learning using this flipped video and hands-on station activity on magnets with your physical science students. This resource combines various learning styles to give students a complete learning experience as they gain an understanding of magnetism. Students will travel through five different learning centers that will teach them about magnetic fields, law of magnetic poles, and magnet attraction with metals. Students will combine technology with hands-on learning experiences.
Stations include:
→ Station #1: Flipped video lesson that can be accessed through Google Classroom on different concepts of magnetism including:
• what a magnet is
• what magnetism is
• what a magnetic field is
• how magnetism can be destroyed
Students will be assessed using either a printable hard copy or a Google Form

→ Station #2: Create a magnetic field: Students will use simple materials and create a field to determine where it is the strongest

→ Station #3: Forces: Students will test simple materials to see which types are attracted. This will reinforce that only iron, nickel, and cobalt are attracted to a magnet.

→ Station #4: Poles: Test where it is the strongest and review the law of magnetic poles

→ Station #5: Doodle Sketch Note Activity: Reinforce and review learning by completing this activity that will tie all the stations together.
