Attract your students to these 12 questions about magnets - their uses, their properties, and different types of magnets and then have them match the question cards with their correct answer cards.
The 8 x 11 full color illustrated poster/cards have many uses!
*Mount the cards back to back with question on one side and its answer on the back. Suspend them from the ceiling over students' desks or learning stations as visible reminders of key concepts.
*Play Question and Answer match by giving each student a card - some will have the question card while others will have the answer card. They move about the room seeking their partner card which would be the answer to their question or the question that is answered by their card. Once all pairs are matched, have students lead the whole class review with their question/answer pairs.
*Call and redirect groups or students by asking the magnet question and have them respond with the correct answer as posted on the suspended card overhead. Conversely, give the answer and have the student ask the question that could be answered with that statement.
* Display cards on interactive bulletin boards.
* Use the cards as provocation questions or answers when introducing the study of magnets.
* Play a matching memory game with cards face down, turn over two cards while looking to make a correct pair with question and answer.
* Use the cards for review questions as formative assessments throughout the unit of study or as a review for end of unit test.
Additional magnet clip art is also included.
