PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Teaching Story Elements to Kindergarteners does not have to be hard. It can be easy! These mini-lessons break the elements down into "kid-friendly" language that engages students and brings students to understanding each element very easily.

- Teaching the main idea is the first of these lesson series that I have completed. I will be working on the others and getting them out shortly. I used these strategies in class - and they WORK!

- Finding main idea is one of the harder elements - so I made this unit first. But, after you read the strategy, use the posters, and complete the printables, your students will think it is easy! I have made a step-by-step process, complete with posters for you to work with your class. Have fun! The printables can be used with fiction - and non-fiction information! I know we are bringing non-fiction into our reading times, so this works perfectly.
