Let me share a story about why I created these cute cards. You'll think these cards can save your time too. And also fun for your students!
I had problem when I practice all the keys in major and minor scales. I can't remember which ones that I've practiced, which ones that I haven't, so sometimes I practiced the same keys more than once. And after that, I wasn't sure I've practice them all. I might missed some of them.
So I cut some cards, wrote the keys on each of them. I shuffle and pick one card, practice the key written on it and put it aside. Until there's no more card. It works for me! And will work for you and your students too :)
Then, when I asked one of my students to play one of the key on the scale for me, she complained. "We did it last week! :(" She was 6 years old, a beginner, she only had 4 keys to practice as her homework. Usually I check them all each week. But that time, I lent her my cards (they weren't as cute as they are now), picked 4 cards, and asked her to choose one. I planned to ask her to play only that key and that's it. But she beamed at the cards, asked with enthusiasm, "what's that?" She couldn't stop at 1 card, she asked more and more. She practiced all 4 at the end, happily because she thought about it as a game, and keeps asking for the cards each week. ^_^
Then I designed this cute ladybug pattern as the frame, and use them for my other students. :)
P.S. If you prefer other patterns or colors as the frame, just let me know.
