In this game students build their understanding of how to combine hundredths in a variety of ways in order to "make 1 tenth (.1)."
Students can play in pairs or in teams. Each pair or team uses one of the 5 different game cards. Students make 1 tenth (.1) using different combinations of hundredths (Ex: .07 + .03 = .1 or
.03 + .03 + .03 + .01 = .1). They can also challenge themselves to use multiple operations to make 1 tenth (Ex: (.07 + .05) - .02 = .1). Students compete to cross out as many boxes as possible on the game board (similar to "blackout" in Bingo). The student/team that crosses out the most boxes is the winner.
