Students can practice their mental math strategies by using addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division to get an answer of 10. This activity can be independent or in partners during math centers.
1) Roll a dice three times.
2) Both partners write down the 3 numbers rolled.
3) You can use addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division with these numbers to get an answer as close to 10 as possible.
4) You can use each number only one time. But you can try as many combinations as you want.
**The person who gets closest wins that round.
