Help students gain practice making 10 using this set of games and activities!
Included in the "Make 10 Games" are four engaging games and activities that require little or no prep. Number cubes, connecting cubes, and paperclips are the only outside materials needed to play.
The four games included in the bundle are described below:
*Make 10 Bump--Partners roll a number cube and find the number needed to make 10. A highly engaging game, partners get to bump their opponents cubes and freeze their own game pieces.
*Fishing for 10--Partners roll two number cubes in an effort to find ways to make 10. Players race to be the first to place their cubes on the gameboard to make three-in-a-row!
*Make 10 Blastoff--Partners take turns spinning a spinner and coloring in the number needed to make 10. The first player to "blastoff" by reaching the top wins!
*Make 10 Roll and Color--Partners work together to roll a number cube, color that many squares on a ten-frame, and find the number needed to make 10. Partners practice using the commutative property of addition to write two number sentences.
The "Make 10 Games" bundle aligns with the Common Core Standards for Mathematics, specifically:
-CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.K.OA.A.3: Decompose numbers less than or equal to 10 into pairs in more than one way.
