Make 10 Game Happy New Year!
Math Operations & Algebraic Thinking
For any number from one to nine, find the number that makes 10 when added to the given number.
Use two players
Shuffle cards, and deal the entire deck, where each player receives a stack of 27 cards.
Both players will flip a card over at the same time. If the total of both cards equal ten, the player to call pop first and slaps the cards as if popping the balloons win the stack of cards.
If the total of both cards does not equal ten, the players will continue to flip a card over at the same time until an addition of ten is reached.
If a player calls pop or slaps the cards when the cards do not total ten, then the other player keeps all of the cards played.
When all the cards are gone, the player with the most sets wins the game.
The purpose of the card game is to make students more efficient at adding two numbers together to make ten in all.
