Make Way for Ducklings is a wonderful children's book. It's about a pair of mallards who try to find a home for themselves and their ducklings. It was written by Robert McCloskey.
This Reader's Theater has parts for four children. There are also character names included. Simply copy them onto cardstock. Then you may hole-punch and lace with yarn for a necklace, or staple to a long strip of construction paper to make a headband.
Feel free to change the script in any way that you would like so that it meets the needs of your class.
There's a cute reading of this book on YouTube by Chris Stratton. (There are several, but I liked that one the best.) It is 8:29.
If you like this Reader's Theater, I have a few other Easter/Spring scripts that you might like. They are:
The Easter Egg
The Night Before Easter
One Brown Bunny
When Will It Be Spring?
Pete the Cat Big Easter Adventure
There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed A Chick
Little Bunny's Sleepless Night
Thanks so much!
