Make Your Own African Drum Craft

Here’s a quick and easy drum craft made from a coffee can. Suited to pre-K or kindergarten age children, this drum is the perfect size for a young child’s hands or can be tapped with a plastic spoon or drum beater.

This basic drum freebie suggests simple geometric patterns, we also have a more complete, wonderful African Kente Cloth Drum Craft. Please stay tuned, we are working on other drum patterns modeled after the beautiful and unique textile styles of different regions of Africa.
