Looking for a fun way to introduce graphing or data collection to your students? Let them be in charge of planning, collecting, and graphing their own data! Students generate ideas as to what they want to collect data on from their peers, then students take turns asking one another for their "vote." Some student examples included favorite kind of pie, favorite movie, favorite game console, and time spent playing video games every day.
In this pack you'll find:
Data Planning Sheets
Data Collection Sheets
Differentiated Graphs for each of the following types:
Stem and Leaf Plots
For an added step, I used this pack as the planning portion for my students. My higher level students learned graphing and charting data on Microsoft Excel and my lower level students turned their graphs into larger versions using construction paper and wrote their own multiple choice questions about their graphs.
