Students can simply add a circle to the rhythm to look at rhythms in a new way of notation.
It's a simple way that can translate to using standard rhythm notation.
Multiple entry points includes simple 1-2-3-4 rhythms and then add the potential for eighth notes, 16th and finally adding in more than one part.
I use these to clap and then we use them on the djembe. Students can test each other by printing out a series and creating their own patterns.
