This student handout explains grading criteria for a "Make a Board Game" group project that requires to use their knowledge of the curriculum content to create a working board game. Players move about the game boards by correctly answering content questions. Games can be completely unique or based upon an existing game. I have students play the games and grade one another in addition to my grade. They love this assignment!- especially when they can "test" others games by playing them. I have used this project very successfully in U.S. History, World History, and Human Geography. Includes student explanation handout and grading sheet.
