Description

Have you, a math teacher, ever noticed my Science Calendar and History Calendar products (the latter being available in both Canadian and American versions) and wished there were a similar product available for you? Well, wish no more! This product, which I'm presenting as a professional development option, includes the following:

  • a comprehensive list of important math-related dates you and your students can celebrate;
  • a set of charming, math-related valentines for your middle and higher-grade students to study and be amused by (from the brilliant mind of Cassandra Valenti, aka MathWithMrsV);
  • a full-colour PDF poster of remarkable female mathematicians, from Mathigon
  • 2 slides' worth of online links, some 'general' and some specific in order for you to help your students celebrate specific 'days'

Most of the slides are intended as a Powerpoint presentation for your students; slides at the end are intended for you, the educator, only.

I've designated this product as 'not grade specific' because it includes information that covers elementary to high school interests and abilities. Choose the information that best suits your particular group of students, i.e., in the handout of dates to celebrate, indicate to your students which people and topics you want them to investigate.
