Print out game board onto regular computer paper or cardstock (and laminate if you wish to re-use) .
Divide class into small groups.
Each group will need one game board, one die, and each group member will need his or her own game piece. (I use random things like pen or marker caps or pennies, pasta, etc) The objective is to make it to the end of the board the quickest. Students choose the correct verb (either ser or estar) and apply its correct conjugation to get a chance to roll and advance along the board. -- if the conjugation is wrong, or the wrong verb chosen, he/she forfeits his/her turn to roll. (Start the game with all game pieces on "el principio" and each player rolls the die to start the game and get on the board - and can continue to advance to the extent they can select the appropriate verb and it's conjugation.) After playing, I usually hand out additional copies of the game board image to each student and have them write in the missing verb conjugations for homework. The kids love it!
