A Makerspace is a place where students can explore, design, and create!
Our school makerspace plays an imperative role in our school’s STEM program. Our school is dually STEM certified through AdvancED and the state of Georgia. In this product, you will receive an overview of how we run our school Makerspace, and everything you will need to get started in your Makerspace adventure in your classroom or school media center/library.
This Makerspace Start-Up Kit has it all....it includes an explanation of our Makerspace procedures and FAQs with pictures of our set-up and how student use the space. We included 4 different styles of Makerspace passes, a poster with Makerspace rules, suggested supplies and resource books, a parent letter you can send home asking for donations, a flyer to hang up around the school asking for donations (with pull-off tabs), our student planning sheet, and two different types of self assessment rubrics. We also included Makerspace supply labels that you can use or copy/paste into PowerPoint to edit to meet your needs.
