Making Books with Kids:Japanese Stab Binding
A kid-friendly approach that allows students to bind their own books with flair! This activity is fun, rewarding and can be adapted to many materials. I’ve used this exact process with second graders and have included their work samples. Second and third graders need direct adult supervision to be successful. Older students should be able to operate more independently.
Material list – nothing crazy – everything is easy to find!
Step by Step instructions with photos – Six steps. Simple to follow. Teacher-tested tips throughout.
Hole punch templates for half and full size paper – choose the size appropriate for your project.
