This Mini-lesson utilizes two images one from the 8th grade curriculum dealing with two political scandals; Boss Tweed and the The Teapot Dome Scandal. When your unit of study in the Roaring Twenties moves to political scandals you can refer students to previous scandals that you already covered. Included with this product is a powerpoint and class notes that go over the important points of each scandal. Students will have to use their knowledge of Social Studies and their analysis of the documents to see how the events and images are similar and different. Great to use as an independent assignment, closure, think-pair-share activity or homework.
