Product Description
These mats were designed to practice making equal groups of up to 20 divided by 5. I found that my students really need a hands on activity with purpose to practice making equal groups and seeing what a "remainder" is. I tried using bowls and pom poms, but it didn't help as much as I hoped, so I created these mats. I laminated them and used them first with a small group to demonstrate, and then used them as a center activity with a dry erase marker. The mats can be used with playdough, pom poms, or other manipulatives. I was lucky to find small flower erasers to use, but I have provided flowers to cut out and use if you like.
