"This was a super cute resource. I added a 4th recipe to extend the time of the lab and paired with a holiday themed density drink activity. Use for tweens and teen homeschoolers. "

Description

Looking for a FUN Christmas/winter activity to do with your science students?

This lab has students test three different recipes of homemade, fake snow to determine which one is best according to three tests (the Snowball Test, the Snowman Test, and the Time Test).

Students will have to write a hypothesis, collect data, analyze class data to make a graph, and write a conclusion where they must identify sources of error and future experiments. This lab is a ton of fun, and it also prepares students for writing scientific papers in the future!

The lab write-up is tailored towards high school students, but it can be edited to meet your students' ability levels. This resource includes the lab report and a blank class data table.
