Students will use this tool to make inferences in their independent reading book. This task will help them to remember that as readers we make an inference all the time while we are reading. This allows them a chance to reflect on their understanding of making inferences as it relates to their book.
Students will write a brief summary about a section in their book. They will then write what they inferred. Then they are asked to support this with text evidence from their book.
