This is a great activity for students to understand inferences. I split students into groups or teams. Each team is given a brown bag. Inside the bag are clues, i.e sunblock, toys, books, etc. The students are encouraged to examine the items in the bag and make inferences based on the evidence. They should be able to determine who is traveling and where they are traveling. For younger grades, you can give them the scenario and the students have to figure out which bags belongs to what traveler.
