These no prep centers are a fun way for your students to practice making inferences. The activities are differentiated to help you easily meet the needs of all your students.
Students read several short paragraphs and use the clues in the paragraphs to make inferences about the setting. Students cut out the paragraphs and then sort them into 2 groups based on the inferences they made about the setting.
Included in this resource:
- 5 cut and paste inferencing center activities with shorter passages and more obvious clues
- 5 cut and paste inferencing center activities with a little longer passages and less obvious clues
- a reusable "Create Your Own" inference sort for early finishers or advanced learners
- a student recording sheet for center time
- grading rubrics
- answer keys
The preview shows everything included.
These activities are self-explanatory and could be completed by 3rd and 4th grade students independently in a distance learning packet if you know your students have access to scissors and glue.
