Making Inferences Activity
Product Description
I had 8 envelopes that I filled with three different items from around the house that are related. Students, in small groups, rotated around the room where the numbered envelopes were placed. They recorded what items were in the bag, what they already know about the items (prior knowledge) and then made an inference. For example: One bag contained a jump rope, vitamins, and a food scale. An inference that might be made would be that someone might be trying to get healthy or stay in shape, etc.
