One of the more difficult ELA skills we teach our students is also one of the most important: the ability to infer, or "inference."
We created this lesson on inference by scaffolding the steps, so that students can keep building on their understanding of the concept. Each worksheet is a stepping-stone to the next. Once your students complete all the exercises, they will be ready to make inferences when reading fiction or non-fiction texts in all disciplines.
