Description

Want to teach your Kindergarten Students and First Graders about letters and sounds and inferring all at once? This download includes 26 Inference Riddles, an engaging and self-correcting format with a focus on beginning letters sounds using a "WHAT AM I" format.. Your students will love hearing the clues one at a time, combining this information with their letter sounds knowledge, and determining the correct answer, as pictured on the fold back flap on the right side of each card.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN YOUR DOWNLOAD?
►26 Beginning Sound Fold Back Inference Riddles (Color)
►26 Beginning Sound Fold Back Inference Riddles (B&W)
►1 Template for Students to create their own Beginning Sound Riddles.

Each riddle card has a letter of the alphabet with three clues beside it. Students hear/read the clues one at a time and determine a word beginning with the featured letter sound and based on the three clues. The correct word match is pictured on the far right side of the card and initially gets folded behind the first letter and corresponding clues. Students can self check their answer by unfolding the tab and seeing the answer.

BEGINNING SOUND PICTURES INCLUDED:

TO PREPARE YOUR INFERENCE RIDDLES:
►I suggest you print on cardstock so pages are not translucent. Laminate if you wish.
►Cut apart on paper cutter on the horizontal lines.
►Fold back answer/picture on the dotted line.
►Secure answer behind the card with a clothespin.
