Inferring | Making Inferences Differentiated Reading Passages and Questions for Reading Comprehension
Perfect for grades 3 – 6
Inferring isn’t a skill that comes naturally to every learner. Some students catch on right away, and others struggle with it. As a teacher, it is very difficult to find texts that provide clear inferring opportunities for students. To meet the needs of my students, I created this resource to bridge that gap. The goal of this resource is to allow your students to have multiple opportunities to practice inferring, which will lead to proficiency with this skill.
This resource includes everything you will need to practice inferring with your students! I’ve included THREE DIFFERENT LEVELS OF EACH PASSAGE for you to easily differentiate in your classroom! There are also short-answer questions for your students to practice inferring.
Included in this resource:
This resource contains ten differentiated fiction passages. There are three levels of each passage so you can easily differentiate with your students. The levels are based on word count and Lexile levels, which can be found in the top left corner of each passage. The passages were written to provide students with multiple opportunities to infer.
