Making inferences is a reading skill that students need in order to comprehend both fiction and nonfiction texts. These task cards will give your students ample practice with this skill.
There are many ways you can use these in your class: in a literacy center, early finish box, whole class activity, one a day for morning/bell work… there are so many options!
Included in this packet are 24 task cards, an answer sheet, and blank cards. Because answers may vary, there is no answer key included. There are 4 cards per sheet. Simply cut the cards and laminate for continued use. Either store them in a large index card file box, or hole punch and assemble on rings. Or, purchase a 4x6 photo book from your local dollar store and slide the cards in the holders!
