These self-checking task cards for inferencing use QR codes to link to labeled PHOTOS showing the correct answers! The school themed visuals take self-checking QR codes to a whole new level of engagement and support ELLs and visual learners. My energetic students love when I tape these task cards around the room to let them MOVE while practicing making inferences. This any time or back to school time activity is based on 4th grade ELA standards.
For this independent center, students read the task card clue and infer about the school item being described. After inferring, they record their answer and check themselves by scanning the QR codes with any Smart device (they LOVE this part). A color photo appears to show the correct answer!
What if I don't have a way to scan the QR codes?
No worries! Check out the photo version
of this set instead!

These 10 inference task cards with QR codes link to photos in Dropbox.
