Product Description
Common Core Standard: ELA: Key Ideas and Details 4.1: Refer to details and examples in a text when explaining what the text says explicitly and when drawing inferences from the text.

Students may use this worksheet in order to refer to the text as a basis for their answer. The teacher must write his or her own questions in the "Questions" column, pertaining to the text being used.

Answers to questions should not be “right there” in the text. The student must use their background knowledge, as well as clues from the text, to infer the answers.

The teacher may instruct students to highlight or underline specific portions of the text within the literature/article.
